How to care for your custom garments
Your custom clothing is built to last — but how you care for it makes a real difference. Follow these guidelines to keep your branding sharp, your colours vibrant, and your garments looking their best wash after wash.
When in doubt, always check the inside label. Every garment we supply includes care instructions specific to that fabric.
Washing Instructions
General guidelines that apply to all custom printed and embroidered garments.
Wash at 30°C
Always wash at 30°C or below. Higher temperatures can cause colours to fade, shrink fabric, and degrade print quality over time.
Turn inside out
Turn garments inside out before washing. This protects printed and embroidered areas from friction with other items in the machine.
Use gentle detergent
Use a mild, colour-safe detergent. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners on printed garments — these can break down inks and fibres.
Air dry where possible
Air drying is always best. If using a tumble dryer, use a low heat setting. High heat can cause garments to shrink and prints to crack.

Pro tips for longer-lasting branding
Small habits make a big difference to how long your custom garments and their decoration hold up. Here's what our production team recommends.
- Wash new garments before first wear to set the fabric
- Separate darks and lights — even with custom pieces
- Remove garments promptly from the washing machine — sitting wet accelerates colour transfer
- Store folded rather than hung to prevent stretching at the neck and shoulders
- If in doubt, always read the care label inside the garment
- For bulk orders, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
